ZIKSANA ‘08 – Unforgettable moments

Intro
Well it started from finding the perfect name for our tech festival. ZIKSANA which is a Sanskrit word means acquiring knowledge. The name was coined by our former HOD. And then the work started for preparing the poster. Designing, then modifying, again designing then modifying, applying some powder 
well the process went as infinite loop and finally we got it. May be most of you reading this page might seen the poster of ZIKSANA ‘08 anyhow am publishing it again for new readers.
The Making
Traveling from here and there… uh! Not just here and there, but traveling from PSNA to Dindigul then from Dindigul to Madurai. It happened not in one day, but throughout a week for making ZIKSANA 08 a innovative and successful Tech festival ever in the history of PSNA CET. The process of appointing the committee members, allocation of work started and everyone worked with lot of enthusiasm!!! On the day before symposium i.e. feb 21 everyone worked hard for decorations, with hammers nails, glues thermal coals, sketches, paints the work went on a rapid manner. With lot of co-ordination from juniors. We started the arrangements at auditorium on feb 21 evenning. Not another rangoli but a smiling mickey mouse welcomed everyone in the auditorium. Guys started filling air in 100’s of balloons and decorated. The work went until the early morning of Feb 22 for decorations. The making of ZIKSANA pictures are published here…
Decoration
Not just formal decorations with charts and flowers. We the innovative technocrats had done everything different. 4 huge digital banners including the Entrance flex with the size 20”x10” (Did anyone done that ever before?) then a autograph banner (8×4), events name banner in front of auditorium, another welcoming banner in front of department. Not over we also added 40 small digital banners which contains useful and informative info. Well another team prepared 20 models using thermal coal and another attractive decorations for auditorium and department with more than 100’s of colorful balloons plus uh… it’s not over yet.. You have to read more. Plus 50 charts and two vertical digital banners (inside auditorium). Fine, these are the decorations that we had done. You can see all the pictures of decorations here.
Events
Well seven awesome events were planned. The online event Google wars was dropped and replaced as Web designing as we didn’t received any registration for that online. The remaining events are as described in poster. We started the inaugural around 9.45 a.m(due to some delay) and the inaugural got over by 10.20 a.m. Then we started the first event paper presentation around 10.45 a.m with lot of confusions!!! Well even though we started with some problems after some time everything moved smoothly and prelims for quiz/debugging/marketing/Mr.Ms ZIKSANA and web designing (no prelims direct final) got over by 1.15 a.m in the mean while we analyzed the registered multimedia presentations and choose the best two for prizes. After noon at 2.15 p.m final for all the events began while debugging finals held at lab we started quiz at the auditorium. We rocked in all the finals. Starting with an innovative bubble game round in quiz, funniest marketing finals ever, and new kinda finals in Mr/Ms ZIKSANA. Then a heart touching Home presentations. The valedictory started at 4.50 p.m and with prize distribution (we offered pen drives + cash prize) the ZIKSANA 08 ended successfully around 5.30 p.m

Photo Session
At the end of the day there was full of silence as this will be our final function that we all worked together, organized, shared…. The photo session of the final years were started we taken pictures with wherever we can stand and with whatever camera available

Of course some friends are missing(inevitable!!!!) 
Even though we had some internal problems during inaugural and some staff inviting kinda problems and criticisms from some people, externally I will say that we all rocked achieved a grand success. The success of a tech festival depends upon the feed back that we receive from the delegates, here are some feed backs that we got…

these are the comments we got from individual students not from one. That’s why I mentioned as knowledge acquired 100%. Is that wrong?
On behalf of everyone am thanking The Management, Principal, HOD-I.T, Staff co-ordinator Mr.Jaiganesh who guided as to achieve this success, All the faculty members and supporting staffs -I.T, All the Junior friends and My beloved friends i.e. all the final year students and whomever behind the making of ZIKSANA 08 a grand success. Thanking one and all.
Well am expecting lot of comments at least this time……. So start commenting on our unforgettable moments……

Our home presentation was very excellent…… Best wishes & Congrats from us and our other dept frds to Balaji for that pukka heart throbing flash…… We feel little sorry for missing some of our frds in grp foto session…….

though i have not seen 2008 symposium lively( unfortunately i missed it ), i can able to see how fantastically u have conducted it.rather than saying conducting, it can be said that the guys have celeberated the symposium. i can able to see the differntiation from other departmentv that all my loveable students have made on this fine occassion.i can say that u have revolutionised the manner of conducting symposium and i hope this will be recorded in the history of PSNACET.i congradulate all my loveable students whom i respect ahead my life. i wish grand success to every body.always IT students are role models to the students of not only younger ITians but they act as role models to whole PSNACETians
